Part of our Rising Star strand
Adam Naugler was fascinated with a nearby abandoned homestead. Battered by winter winds, adrift on summer wheat seas, the building was so forgotten, the road in had long faded. The moment he stepped inside Naugler new what drew him in. Amongst the cracked plaster, torn floorboards, and bare windows, he heard acoustic perfection. But how could he bring a powerful, abstract feeling to life?
And then he heard the voice of Blake Reid and the path became absolutely clear. Naugler knew what he had to do; convince Reid to record inside the homestead. He was pushing at an open door. No Roads In covers six days as Reid, Naugler and band battle the elements to record an entire album, using acoustic instruments, with rudimentary analogue equipment.
Playing at 3pm on Saturday the 4th of March in the Radisson Edwardian Screen at the Odeon Printworks.
