Local reach of over 5 million for MANIFF 2017!

Press coverage and partnerships for the 2017 Manchester Film Festival enabled a reach of over 5 million in the Greater Manchester area.

The key partnership with Metrolink saw hundreds of 6 sheet and A1 posters across the network for the whole of February reaching an estimated 3 million people. This was coupled with coverage with all the major Greater Manchester and Northwest publications, with pieces on Granada Reports, BBC Radio Manchester, That's Manchester TV and coverage in the Manchester Evening News, The Skinny, Manchester Confidential, Ilovemanchester.com, Prolific North, Mancunian Matters, About Manchester, Northern Soul, Pocket Manchester, The Mancunion and more. 

The Odeon also supported in the promotion of the festival with the festival video trailer playing before every film in all screens at the Printworks site for a full 6 weeks in the run up to the event. Their marketing and PR teams also promoted the festival heavily via social and e-newsletters.

This was coupled with our own social campaigns running for the 6 weeks leading up to the festival as well as the promotion from our visiting filmmakers, who combined had over 1.2 million page likes on Facebook, 2 million followers on Twitter and 1.6 million followers on Instagram.

MANIFF is growing year on year and we're already building towards a great festival in 2018!
